Online Resources & eBooks

Helpful & informative links

Your Library membership entitles you to eBooks. Not connected to Libby yet? Here’s how:

  • Visit the App Store or Google Play to download the Libby app onto your phone or tablet. You can also follow this link. You can read on your computer by visiting the eLibraries Manitoba website.

  • In order to sign in please select Lakeland Regional Library as your library.

  • Your card number can be retrieved by calling us or emailing us at info@lakelandregionallibrary.ca or sending us a Facebook message. Killarney patrons typically have a 2-4 digit number starting with A, Cartwright patrons have a 2-4 digit number starting with C. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you do not know your number.

  • Your password is the 10 digit phone number we have on file for you no spaces or dashes. If you think you know your card number but your password is not working, please contact us so we can “reset” your password. It will remain your 10 digit phone number, but creating a reset in our system is sometimes required.

  • Once you’re logged in, you can browse titles and borrow instantly. Occasionally a title will require you place a hold on it, much like our physical library. Titles marked BORROW are currently available for immediate download.

  • Each patron card allows for 10 ebooks or audio books at a time. The loan period is 14 days though this can be changed to 21 in your settings

  • On the date a book is due it will automatically be returned from your device no need to return it. Books can be re-borrowed as needed barring any holds placed on the title by other users.

  • If you have any further questions about this service please contact us.

  • Please note, if you are using the old Overdrive App, it will no longer be supported after 2022. Please find more information here on migrating over to the Libby app, or contact us with questions.
